似たような意味だが用法の異なる語句を以下にまとめる。
ここで紹介しているものだけでもしっかりと使い分けできると、より正確に意図を伝えられる論文になると思われる。

1. according to と in accordance with

用法	２つのものを比べて、類似性について言いたい場合	２つのものを比べて、違いがあることを言いたい場合

4. could と was able to

^*“be able to”は無生物主語の場合には使用しないほうがよいとされる。

5. dependence と dependency

7. equal to と equal
